In order to view the forum you must log in. If you do not have an account please register. Upcoming Show: Fall Show: October 30th-31st The BC Reptile Club was formed in the summer of 2008. The need for a reptile club in BC was required to have our voice heard in the new proposed reptile legislation being worked on by the government. Shortly after the club president, Chris Richardson, organized proposed names to form the club now known as the BC Reptile Club to which this forum was born. Since then the club has grown quickly and now is the biggest reptile club in BC. As of March 16th 2009, the new legislation became law and a few months later the official list of controlled species was released. Although the club is still very young, we have made some huge steps to become a big part of the reptile hobby in BC. "The BC Reptile Club" name has been registered now with a non-profit status. In February 2009, we started taking membership and sponsorship fees. This money was a huge help towards getting our name registered and get our non-profit status. The money also allowed us to host our first BCRC Show and Sale in late September 2009. The show was a huge success and it is only the beginning. As of now there is word of possibly hosting two shows in 2010 with one being in the spring and one in the fall. We would like to thank all the BCRC paid members and sponsors for helping us make this all possible. If you would like to become a BCRC paid member, please check out the Membership thread at the top of every forum section. As of right now, quite a few breeders are offering discounts and perks to BCRC paid members and we are working on getting more perks in the future.
